It's been quite a long time that i didnt update my blog.. have been busy doing my assignments and handling my studies over this 14 weeks. Finally, now comes to the end of the semester and it's the time for me to prepare the final exam. I still would like to share what have i done for this pass few months.
I have bought a new laptop and a new motorcycle in July. Feel happy because i have became the new owner of this 2 new "toy".

My new bike..

Engine capacity: 150cc
Fuel injection engine
Top speed: around 130km/h++
This is my secondary transport to school. Like it very much because i can cruise at higher speed on the highway and it response pretty well when u take a sharp corner. For the economical sake, this bike deserve a 5 stars due to its fuel injection engine. Full tank of petrol allow you to cruise more than 350km. Nice huh??
My new laptop:

The MSI-VR220x is my new gadget. Featuring Intel Dual Core T4200, 2GB of DDR2 RAM, integrated graphic i4500, 250GB SATA HDD, WIFI & Bluetooth, Super DVD combo drive.
This laptop is small in size where it has a 12inch screen and weights 1.9kg with 4 cells battery. I like this laptop very much because of its portability. I was planned to buy a netbook initially. But after judging the pros and cons as well as the price, i hv decided to buy this particular model. This laptop cost around RM1740 which pretty near to the netbook price tag. By adding in extra RM100, i can get a better spec so i decide to buy it. I hv bought another wireless mouse to pair with my new rig.. haha.. so my new rig is perfect for me to travel around.. yeah
Next, our lecturer had assigned us to build a remote control car from scratch in the beginning of the semester. Since we are totally new in RC circuit design, we gotta go to pasar road to buy some ready made electronic circuit. Then we solder the circuit based on the schematic diagram from the circuit that we bought. To build the car, we went to times square and grabbed a RM90 RC car such that we can disintegrate it and extract parts of the useful component. The RM90 was simply paid for the DC motors, battery, 4 wheels, suspension and also the circuit.
After getting those necessary components, we began to build our circuit and car body. However, we faced a lot of problem such as short circuit, malfunction of certain button, circuit acting weird and so on. After judging the pro and cons, we had decided to use the original circuit from the RC car that we bought earlier. The result is awesome where the car can move amazingly fast!! The car building process is time consuming as we have to shape the base and other fine parts. We did the drilling, tapping, cutting and other processes to get the "skeleton" of the car. The base is a metal alloy which is extremely durable and hard.
Here i will post the pic of the car that we made:

This is the final product of our hard work. Cool ya??

The back of the car. This is the initial prototype. We replaced the plastic holder with steel holder for extra durability

The tranmitter and receiver circuit that bought from pasar road. We solder it ourselves.

The base and the motor is clearly shown here. Look nice isn't it?
Once we had build our car, we gotta enter a competition organized by our lecturer. The fatest car will get extra marks. On the competition day, we were so confident with our product because our car has the strongest motor compare to other group. Unfortunately, our car spoiled during the competition. This is because one of the spectators step on our car when the car crashed towards him. His foolish act has destroyed our hard work for 10 weeks. At the end, we were so pissed off with his stupid act and we gave up the competition. Although we knew we will beat all the car up but we still for go all competition due to the damage in the front wheel of the car. Even though we didnt get any prize in this competition, we had gained a lot during the RnD and making process. It's fun to work with my fellow classmate.

A million thanks to my coursemate--
Chin Yong--The technical director of the RC project
Choon Kiat and Sim -- Wiring circuit and build the car body
Teck Poh -- buying things
Kuan Shien and Sin Yee -- contributing the base and also doing the programming
Melvin & Pei Chui-- Preparing the report for asg, doing the coding
It's a long post. Thanks for reading it. More photo can refer to my facebook account. I will go to internship in next month. Thus, stay tuned for more update ya.. Until then, we shall meet again.
